Day 1 of My 21-Day Reset: Why Choosing You Matters

Today marks Day 1 of my 21-Day Reset, and I’m excited, focused, and ready to lock in. I love doing these resets because they give me something powerful to work toward. They remind me that growth doesn’t happen by accident—it happens through intentional choices, discipline, and commitment to yourself.

Day 1 of a 21-day reset focused on mindset, workouts, and high-protein meals. Learn why choosing yourself, eliminating fast food, and committing to discipline can transform your health and habits.

For the next 21 days, I am choosing me.

That means showing up for my body, my mind, and my goals in ways that are intentional and aligned with the life I want to build.

And yes, that means something very simple but very powerful:

No DoorDash.

No Uber Eats.

No drive-thrus.

For the next 21 days, I’m locked in.

Why I Do Resets

Life gets busy. As women—especially moms—we are constantly pouring into everyone else. Between work, family responsibilities, school schedules, and everyday life, it can be easy to fall into survival mode.

Resets help me shift back into purpose mode.

A reset is not about punishment or extreme dieting. It’s about realigning with the habits that make you feel strong, focused, and confident.

For me, that means:

  • Moving my body consistently

  • Fueling my body with real food

  • Protecting my mental clarity

  • Staying disciplined even when it would be easier not to

A reset is a reminder that you always have the power to start again.

The Focus for the Next 21 Days

This reset is simple but intentional. My focus is on three key areas.

1. Mindset

Before the workouts, before the meal prep, before the results—everything begins with mindset.

I’m starting each day with a moment to breathe, reflect, and get centered. Meditation, prayer, or simply quiet time helps me stay grounded and focused on my goals.

When your mindset is strong, everything else becomes easier to execute.

2. Movement and Strength

This reset is also about building strength, especially in areas I want to improve.

My workouts will focus on:

  • Glutes and legs

  • Back and arms

  • Core strength

  • Cardio for endurance and fat loss

I’ve been focusing on glute training for a while now, and I’m already seeing progress. That’s the beauty of consistency—you start to see the results of your effort.

This time around, I’m pushing myself even further.

Not for perfection.

But for growth.

3. Fueling My Body the Right Way

Food is fuel, and during this reset I’m making sure my body gets exactly what it needs to perform and recover.

That means focusing on high-protein meals and vegetables, including foods like:

  • Chicken

  • Shrimp

  • Salmon

  • Broccoli

  • Green beans

  • Protein oatmeal

  • High-protein pasta

And the rule for the next 21 days is simple:

No DoorDash.

No Uber Eats.

No drive-thrus.

Not because those things are bad—but because sometimes discipline requires removing the easy options.

Cooking my meals and preparing my food helps me stay connected to my goals and my progress.

Choosing You Is Not Selfish

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that choosing yourself is not selfish—it’s necessary.

When you take care of yourself:

  • You show up better for your family

  • You have more energy for your goals

  • You protect your mental health

  • You build confidence in your ability to follow through

Too often, women put themselves last on the list.

But when you choose yourself, you are actually building the strength to show up better for everything and everyone in your life.

The Power of 21 Days

Twenty-one days may not seem like a long time, but it’s long enough to:

  • build momentum

  • create new habits

  • strengthen discipline

  • see real changes in your body and mindset

Every workout.

Every meal.

Every moment of discipline.

It all adds up.

This reset isn’t about being perfect every second of the day. It’s about showing up consistently and giving your best effort.

Locking In

For the next 21 days, I’m locked in.

I’m choosing discipline over convenience.

I’m choosing growth over excuses.

And most importantly, I’m choosing me.

Because becoming the best version of yourself doesn’t happen overnight—it happens through small, intentional decisions made every single day.

This is Day 1.

Let’s see what the next 21 days can do.
