About Me
The Fierce Mompreneur® is a women-owned workforce wellness and performance consulting firm dedicated to helping organizations reduce burnout, improve employee retention, and support sustainable productivity—particularly for working parents and women.
Our work is grounded in both professional expertise and lived experience.
In September 2017, I gave birth to my son, Lorenzo Carter Hill, at just 23 weeks gestation. What followed were 11 months spent between the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). During that time, I became a mother while navigating prolonged medical uncertainty, advocacy responsibilities, and the emotional demands that accompany caring for a medically complex child.
Like many working parents, my life changed overnight.
The cumulative effects of stress, exhaustion, and the need for frequent time away from work made it clear that returning to traditional corporate employment would not be sustainable once my son was discharged. Faced with this reality, I made the difficult decision to resign and rapidly develop a plan that would allow me to remain financially stable while providing around-the-clock care.
While my son remained hospitalized, I began working remotely from the hospital—bringing my laptop into the PICU and continuing to support clients and projects. This experience reshaped my understanding of workforce wellness, productivity, and retention—not as abstract concepts, but as operational necessities for employees balancing complex lives.
With over 14 years of experience in communications, public relations, and strategic engagement across multiple industries—including nonprofit, music, and military sectors—I leveraged my professional background to build a firm focused on practical, evidence-based solutions for today’s workforce.
Today, The Fierce Mompreneur® partners with corporations, municipalities, healthcare systems, and public agencies to design and deliver workforce programs that address burnout, stress management, time optimization, and employee retention—without compromising performance or organizational outcomes.
